The painting called 'Portal' is about the way I associate the feeling of vulnerability with my walking journeys. The circular lines in the painting represents the journeys that I did while getting lost in the city and not knowing in which direction to go. At the same time I wanted to show a sense of fluidity which is connected with the way I was thinking while walking on the streets. 11. 'Pink river'

    Year: 2020
    200x200 cm / 78,7x78,7 inch
    Acrylic on canvas

This painting is inspired from a photo I took at 'Kew Gardens' in London. In this painting I combined different elements from nature. I chose to paint in the lower part of the artwork a more detailed surface and use warm tones. The shapes I painted in the upper part and in the middle are more pictorial, I used strong brush strokes and an accentuated contrast between the elements. I feel that the contrast between the upper part of the painting and the lower one gives the artwork a special balance. Some of the elements I used are inspired from reality, but I combined them with my imagination as well.

  16. 'Blue light'

    Year: 2019
    100x130 cm / 39.4x51.2 inch
Acrylic and oil pastels on canvas

The inspiration for this painting was a photo I have taken with a piece of wood. I was really intrigued by the structure and the texture of the wood. At first I wanted to paint something realistic, but when I decided to work with pink, red and orange the outcome changed completely. What I really like about this painting is the contrast between the surfaces which are more pictorial and the white and yellow ones where I drew some lines with oil pastels. I feel this kind of contrast gives the artwork more depth.
  17. 'Gothic gate'

    Year: 2019
    80x90 cm / 31.5x35.5 inch
    Acrylic on canvas

This painting is inspired by a gothic gate from an old church. For this artwork I wanted to depict the shape of the gate and the rest of it to be more abstract. I focused more on the use of colour rather then on the shape of the composition. I wanted to be like a story of colours and textures.
  18. Pink madness

    Year: 2019
    90x90 cm
    Acrylic on canvas

This artwork is my first painting were I tried to change a little bit the way I usually work with colors. I wanted to make it more abstract, and just in some parts you can understand what it actually is. I started from a photography with a window. I like sometimes to take inspiration from windows because I feel like each of them have a great story behind. Just try and think of how many people look from the same window and think of such different things, is just a piece of glass and maybe wood which makes a connection between the complicated minds of people and the endless posibilities which exists.

I feel that this painting is special because of the combination between the parts were I used strong brush strokes or even drops of paint and the ones which are more like a drawing.
