  12. 'Transformation I'

    Year: 2019
    100x120 cm / 39.4x47.3 inch
    Acrylic on canvas

This paintig is inspired by some old gothic arthitectural details and win- dows. I wanted to create a contrast between the vertical shapes and the abstract ones.
  13. 'Flowers'

    Year: 2019
    80x90 cm / 31.5x35.5 inch
    Acrylic on canvas

For this painting I was inspired by some photos I took at ‘Kew Gardens’ in London. I wanted to combine a realistic element from nature with my imagination and create a playful image.
  14. 'Pink Gate II'

    Year: 2019
    90x120 cm / 35.5x47.3 inch
    Acrylic on canvas

For this painting the inspiration was an old gate which I found in Lon- don. I wanted to create an abstract painting and just a few details and brush strokes to be emphasised and to show the viewer some traces of a gate. What I like about this painting is the contrast between the pictorial surfaces and the ones which contain strong lines.
  15. 'Zoom'

    Year: 2019
    100x130 cm / 39.4x51.2 inch
    Acrylic on canvas

I wanted to create a more decorative painting and to think more about how colors live next to each other. Creating different shapes I started thinking of the ongoing process of painting which is limitless.
  16. 'Castle river'

    Year: 2019
    100x130 cm / 39.4x51.2 inch
    Acrylic on canvas

This artwork is inspired from a photo I have taken of a window and a door at the castle called ‘Tower of London’. In this painting I wanted to play more with colours, strong brush strokes and enjoy the surface of the can- vas. I wanted to create a carousel of colours.
  17. 'Museum dream'

    Year: 2019
    100x100 cm / 39.4x39.4 inch
    Acrylic on canvas

For this painting I was inspired by some photos I have taken in London at ‘Tate Britain’ museum. The recent exhibition called ‘ The Asset Strippers’ by Mike Nelson really inspired me because of the way the space was rethought and changed and how his artworks were combined with the architecture of the museum.
  18. 'Japanese gate'

    Year: 2019
    80x90 cm / 31.5x35.5 inch
    Acrylic on canvas

For this painting I was inspired by a ‘Japanese Gate’ as the title says , which I’ve seen at the ‘Royal Botanic Gardens’ in London. I really liked the architecture of the gate, but I was also impressed by some rounded sculptures made out of glass that were placed in front of the gate by an artist called Dale Chihuly. The whole image made me want to paint it , so I did. I really like the combination of colours at this artwork, the subtle shades of green in combination with the bright pink/orange surfaces. I also feel that the rounded shapes inspired by the glass sculptures complete the whole composition.
  19. 'The dream of architecture II'

    Year: 2019
    80x90 cm / 31.5x35.5 inch
    Acrylic on canvas

This is the second painting with the same name, because it was inspired by the same architectural detail. For this artwork I wanted to move away a little bit from the shape of the actual detail and play with the forms more, but in the same decorative way. I also incorporated some shapes that look like flowers because I wanted to show the deep connection between nature and architecture.
